We thought we would share with you our 10 favourite beers and ciders from the inaugural Craft Beer and Cider Fair at the Oak Barrel. We had loads of fun trying them all.
With over 150 wineries to choose from in the Hunter Valley region, how do you make the distinction of which ones to visit. Is it the reputation of the wineries, the rural setting or the friendliness of the cellar door staff?
On a recent trip to the Q Station in Manly we checked out Moonshine Cider and Rum Bar.
Moonshine has taken up residence on the rooftop at the wellknown Manly drinking institution, the Hotel Steyne, perfect spot across the road from Manly beach. Specialising in only rum and cider it makes Moonshine a pretty unique bar. With 16 ciders on tap and over a 100 rums to choose from you should be able to find something you like - and have fun trying.
Whilst staying over in Manly visiting the Q Station we decided to check out the 4 Pines Brewing Company. We had tasted their Kolsch (and liked it) at The Montpellier Public House and thought their website was pretty funky, so there were high expectations.
